FAQ

What exactly is a Giclee Print?

The highest quality digital art reproduction, made using lightfast, pigment-based inks which guarantee long lifespan. Printed onto archival paper and known to capture the sharpest detail and highest resolution.

What is meant by Limited Edition?

A limited run of so many prints ie. an edition of 100, means that only 100 prints of the original will ever be produced.

What is special about Hahnmuhle paper?

It is Gallery Quality Fine Art Paper that is 100% cotton, acid free and resistant to aging.

What if my purchase is a gift?

If you wish I can write a personal gift note from you to your chosen recipient, and post directly to them. I'm also happy to gift wrap on request.

How long will my purchase take to arrive?

The prints are usually in stock, but in case I need to order with the local company who print my editions, please allow ten working days to receive your print. Thank you!
All Original art is sent by registered post within five working days. If you need your artwork sent as soon as possible, do email me and I'll do my best to accommodate your request.

How will my purchase be packaged?

All artworks come wrapped in tissue and carefully packaged in a sturdy, board envelope. I use recycled, recycleable packaging as much as possible.
It is best to avoid touching the art itself, and keep wrapped up until framing.

What about framing?

Both Original Artwork and Prints need the protection of glass.
I recommend going to your local Framer for custom framing on Original Works.
When framing a Giclee Print, there is also the more affordable option of buying a Readymade Frame (pictured below.) I have endeavoured to create prints in sizes that should work well in A4 or 6 x 8" window size. However, I would advise buying these from a Framemaker also, to ensure the window mount is archival quality.
As with all artwork, avoid hanging in direct sunlight.
All of the above will prolong the life of the art for you to enjoy for years to come.
