About Me

Hello and Welcome!
I am an lrish artist living in Kinsale, on the southern coast of Ireland. Vastly inspired by the natural world, I am wild about birds and captivated by the blues and greens of nature's palette.
I graduated from Limerick School of Art and Design with a first class honours degree in Fine Art, many moons ago, specialising in Painting. I also trained there as an Art and Design Teacher, and am a member of The Teaching Council of Ireland and of Visual Artists Ireland. I've participated in many exhibitions over the years, and my work is held in both public and private collections.

My art practice has always involved keen observation, but it goes beyond what I see, and is also imbued with memory and imaginings. I seek to study and celebrate everyday moments of wonder, the privilege of witnessing bird-life, the changing weather and seasons. The work is informed by simple field drawings that I make on our local walks, and bring back to my homestudio to develop in Watercolour and Ink.
I have hopes and dreams to link my art to conservation awareness in the future.
You can follow me on Instagram, where I share my studio days and work in progress.
